Thank the Heavens

After almost a 2 year wait the PSN pre paid cards are coming to a store near you. I just read on PS3 Fanboy site that the long awaited card will be in Blockbuster, 7-11 and Rite Aid this September. No date given just the month but I hope and pay thats its the September 1st. If you have read my other post about this you will knwo that I am in The Philippines and don't have a U.S. credit card so i can't buy anything off the store and that there are about 300 dollars worth of games and add on thats I want and can now get. This really made my day.

What about you have you been waiting for the pre paid cards also?

Max Payne 3 and New PS3 Exclusive Coming From Rockstar?

I have been reading for months rumors about a new Max Payne game but I just read on 1Up that the original Max Payne developers Remedy Entertainment are currently too busy working on a new game called Alan Wake to even think about MP 3. So the good news is that Instead, the next-gen noir shooter will be handled by the same internal Rockstar team that created The Warriors.Perhaps even more exciting for me, we've got word that Rockstar is still hard at work on an unannounced PlayStation 3 exclusive. Who's making it? Why, just the guys behind a little-known Rockstar release (GTA 4)from earlier in the year....

Know Who Visits Your Sites with IPGeolocation

Warning - post is kinda geeky.

Web masters and even the casual blogger would want to know more about people who visit their sites - I know I would. That is why we use various tools that give specific information on web site hits. There is one technology called IPGeolocation, which is used by IP2Location.

What is it about? Basically, this helps you pinpoint each of your visitor's location in the world (hence the geolocation term). The information that you can get from IP2Location includes the person's city, country, and region. You can also determine the longitude and latitude if you wish! Furthermore, you can find out additional details such as IDD code, area code, weather station name, weather station code, and area code - these things are actually part of their newly launched DB15-DB18 packages. The cool thing is that all these pieces of information are derived from a single thing - the IP Address. If you want to try out their products, you can go to their demo page wherein you can avail of the free demo.

IP2Location also offers free webmaster tools in their site. They are simple codes which you can add to any web site. You can actually see one of them here in my blog - check the left column.

Playstation Trophies.

I really like this idea. The only bad thing as you can to your right is that I don't have any. The reason for that is none of the games I have support them. It's not like I am not trying - in another post I wrote about how the PS Store will not take my credit card and it is hard to get games where I live.

I keep thinking about all the money Sony is saying they are losing and then I just think of all the money they could be making if they would just take prepaid credit cards or release the PSN card to everyone and not just at military bases.

I don't like not having trophies to show off or not having games that have them. There is a ton of stuff I want to buy off the PS Store but I can't. Now if I had a company I would want to bring in as much money as possible. I don't understand why Sony does not think that way. Well anyway, here's a list of games that support trophies on release or will have an update soon for them.

Want into the PlayStation Home Closed Beta Test? Here’s How to Apply

Today we’re announcing the expansion of our closed beta test for PlayStation Home to begin at the end of the month.

Home Theme

Later today, the PLAYSTATION Store will be updated with a PlayStation Home theme. By downloading the theme, users are submitting an application to join the PlayStation Home Beta test community. We will be using a variety of criteria including activity on the PLAYSTATION Network to determine eligibility for the Beta community. Existing beta testers have automatically qualified to be part of the expanded beta.

We’re really excited about this milestone and want our most loyal fans to be a part of the evolution of PlayStation Home.

In Europe, SCEE is also beginning their expanded closed beta, directly targeting consumers who have been most active on PLAYSTATION Network and PLAYSTATION Store. SCEE will be in email contact with their PSN audience very shortly.

Let us know what you think.

Do you want to be in home beta? I know I do.

Thanks to PSB for the writeing.

Firmware 2.42 Bricking Some PS3’s, Solution

The message boards over at Playstation.com are all fired up with people reporting that the latest Firmware upgrade, 2.42 has caused their PS3’s to brick and stop reading all discs. Normally a certain number of machines will always die, coincidentally at the same time as a firmware upgrade. But in this case, enough people have had the same, pretty specific sequence of events and then an almost completely dead PS3.

To read the complaints, visit the Firmware 2.42 thread. And, to see a possible solution, visit here.

Please post a comment if this has happened to you and what your results have been with the admittedly painful fix listed above.

I have not had any thing go wrong with Jethro. How about you? Let me know

Thanks to PS3 Vault for the story.

I want a Kitty

I have been wanting a kitty for a long time now I had one but someone made me give it back. I had a dream last night that I found the perfect Calico kitty and I got it. I was really sad when I woke up and there was no kitty. I don't know why my wife doesn't like them.

I guess that's just the way she was raised. The cat I had she was not very nice to so I told her if you not going to give it a change then give it back I would rather not have one then have one and her be mean to it. So I was sent off to the store and when I came home it was gone :(.

I was looking through some old pics we have and came across a few pics of me and the kitty I had. It was a gift from our friend on my Bday and I had to give it back. Well need less to say I will probably never have a kitty so I am happy I found some blogs that talk about their kitty. So I guess that will have to do.

My kitty

Now its been a long time since I thought about him so I can't remember what I named him but I only had him for a about 12 hours until I had to give him back. I miss him.

What do you think should I be aloud to have a kitty?
