Discovering Italian Music

I have always loved music. I grew up with music all around me. It was mainly country and rock but the love for music was instilled in me at a young age. As I grew older, I began discovering new kinds of things, including new genres of music.

Now I am nearing 30 and I have to say that my musical horizons have expanded to an extent that I never thought it would. Would you believe that I am actually getting to like music from different countries? Even music with words in a different language appeals to me at times.

In particular, italian songs seem to appeal to me lately. Perhaps it is influenced by my unending cravings for Italian food. Or maybe it is because I really love the "national car" of Italy - the Ferrari. Whatever the reason, I think that Italian music is pleasant to listen to.

One thing that slightly gets in the way of my enjoyment at times is the fact that I do not speak a word of Italian. Well, I do know some names for the food but it is not enough for me to understand the songs.
